Guest Speaker Jo Walker from Business Growth Hub delivers a mini workshop on how to develop a business idea into a sustainable start up – step by step. She will provide key information on the process, handy tips and provide essential methods and on how to take the next step.
Business Growth Hub is Greater Manchester’s largest support network for new businesses. It helps to develop start up ideas and strengthen established large businesses as well as SME enterprises.

Madina Masjid and Community Centre presents The Lunch Club which is open for people in the community who may be suffering from isolation, food poverty and other economic challenges to benefit from healthy, nutritious meals in a warm and friendly environment.

Levenshulme’s monthly comedy event is back again with another stellar line up! Mick Ferry (Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Ken Loach’s Looking For Eric + Winner of Best UK Stand Up 2013) headlines Fred’s Comedy Club on Wednesday 2nd September, with support from Steve Bugeja (Winner of the BBC New Comedy Award 2013). Our resident compère Andy Kind will also be joined by two rising stars (Carl Jones + Graham Goring) in the middle section, meaning you’ll get 5 comedians for £5!
Mick Ferry is renowned as a fine purveyor of lugubrious surrealism and has quickly established himself as one of the most sought after comics on the British and International comedy circuit. One of the finest comperes around, Mick Ferry performs regularly at The Comedy Store in London and Manchester as well as headlining at comedy venues nationwide. He is also a regular member of the prestigious topical Cutting Edge Team at the Comedy Store.

We believe all girls have the right to be active and play football. FA qualified female and male coaches.
Weekly training at The Energy Box, Levenshulme High. All ages and abilities welcome (age 5 to 15) 6pm to 7pm.
£2.50 per session. First Session free! Outdoors in the Summer/indoors in the Winter. All you need to bring are trainers and bottled water (shin pads if you have them) and turn up on the night!

Levenshulme Market is a weekly affair. This Saturday sees the return of the ‘Handmade and Home’ edition. Expect to see an abundance of hand crafted homeware, gifts and cards, lovingly restored and up-cycled furniture, one off ceramics, eclectic and vintage collectibles as well limited edition art prints. All this alongside a wide selection of food stalls, craft ale bar and hot drink stands. Lovely stuff.

Join the Klondyke Community Garden volunteers as they continue turning a section of the Klondyke Club Gardens into a community allotment. Bring along seeds, tools and gloves or just come along and see how you can help get involved in the green fingered activities. Lots of work to do and lots of rewards too!
